Presenting Kate and Mark’s engagement photos. We went along to one of my favourite beaches in Perth to have their pre-wedding shoot. Definitely had heaps of fun and managed to take some nice photos! You will see featuring one of my signature waterscape portraits too!

I love photographing at Perth beaches, especially at sunset. Western Australia is the sunset coast after all!! =)

Their beautiful wedding ceremony was held the Wise Winery in Dunsborough.  Such a gorgeous wedding as they wrote their own vows =)

If you follow me on facebook you will see that I love photographing weddings down in the South West area- Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough & Margaret River. Love it down there!!

After the ceremony we did some photos at Wise Winery and then drove around for some shots and ended up at the picturesque Sugarloaf Rock for a few shots.

Their reception was also held at Wise Wines and it was absolutely stunning.  Speeches were great and there were heaps of happy moments that we captured.

Something that I like to do is before I leave for the night, we will take a final shot to end the night! This image will be the last image of your wedding album =)

Woohoo! Brand new slideshow for you all =) Presenting the Wedding Highlights Slideshow of Natalie and Reginald‘s wedding.
Definitely an extravagant wedding and one to watch! The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. George’s Cathedral in Perth, one of the most stunning Churches in Perth.
We managed to photograph in the Cathedral after the ceremony which was AWESOME!!

After the ceremony and family photos, we roamed around King Street and had heaps of fun there! Their reception was held at Novotel Langley in Perth.

Nat and Regi are a really awesome couple!! You can see from the photos that they are just really into each other. I love it =) We met at Burns Beach and started at the nearby park, then as the sun started setting, we ventured onto the beautiful beach for sunset shots!

Phew! What a week!  We just had our first ever booth at the Perth eBridal Wedding Expo 2013 at Crown Grand Ballrooms, Burswood.

I would like to personally thank all the lovely brides, my friends and family for helping out, and other vendors who visited our booth! =)

We had a blast and I must say that the event was certainly a success for our studio.  Below is a photo of our booth setup before they opened the floodgates!

The ceremony was held at the St Michael the Archangel Chapel in Leederville and the Reception venue was held at Joondalup Resort Hotel.

Earlier this year I decided to enter the APPA and the WAPPA. Every year the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) holds the Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA). We also have the state competition for Western Australian photographers (WAPPA).
This prestigious print competition is widely regarded as one of the toughest photography competitions worldwide.  According to the AIPP, an award level print ” Exceeds standard of professional practice with high levels of imagination, craft or skill“.   The photographs are also judged on  the actual print quality of the photograph. I decided to enter for the first time and was extremely thrilled to win Silver Awards for all my prints!! I also entered a wedding album design which I won a Silver Award as well! So very happy about this and would like to thank everyone for their support this year, and especially to my lovely clients! =)

Presenting the Same-Day Slideshow of Trezna and Steve’s wedding which was shown at their Reception. This awesome couple got married in Bunbury, at the Centenary Gardens. Some of the bridal photos were taken at the lovely Back Beach. I love shooting weddings in Bunbury!

I thought I would write a post about wedding day schedules and how to plan your special day! Each and every wedding is different, but they all have similar events – Bride getting ready, Groom getting ready, Ceremony, Group Photos, Bridal Party photos, Reception.   In order to have beautiful wedding photos that you and your family will cherish , wedding photographers need time.  You want to be relaxed on the day and not rushed so giving plenty of time allows for this.  The better you plan your day, the better your photos will turn out – I usually like to get involved when planning your day so that everything flows smoothly.  After all, I will be time keeper/crowd controller/wedding photographer =)

Tips:

• Allow at least 1.5-2hrs of photography time AFTER you have had your makeup/hair and wedding dress put on.  The more time you give me, the more creative I can get.  This also gives time for photos with your parents & family.
• Get ready in a nice hotel room. If you’re getting ready at home, make sure there is a nice spacious room, preferably with window light, which is tidy and uncluttered.
• Groom and groomsmen to be showered and in their shirts + pants when I arrive.  I usually do the Groom’s photos before the Bride, depending on logistics.
• Prepare a list of family photos to take after the Ceremony – usually we do immediate family.  Family photos do take a while, so allow for this. Typically allow for 45minutes for this.
• Remember to allow for ‘hugging time’ where guests will congratulate you after the ceremony.
• Allow for at least 2 hours for the bridal party location shoot after the Ceremony, not including travel time.
• Ensure the Reception Co-ordinator or MC informs me prior to any key events happening such as speeches, first dance, cake cutting so that I can prepare and setup any lighting if required.
