Teresa and Loc tied the knot at the beautiful St Michael The Archangel Chapel in Leederville, Perth. What a lovely Church to photograph – it is probably one of the most beautiful Churches I have seen in Perth. Part of the Wedding Day was a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony where the Bride and Groom serve their parents tea. It’s just a way of saying “Thanks for bringing us up, we’re getting married now and we owe it to you”. They ended up at Burswood for the reception. Two happy people… Here is a sneak peak!! Enjoy..

Recently I visited a display home in South Yunderup( about 40mins from Perth) to take some photos. The home is recently built by MyGen Homes – a division of Highbury Homes. I simply love the outdoor living!!
Here are a few photos! Enjoy..
ps. if you are a Real Estate Agent in need of a photographer – please contact me for a quote. I can’t stress enough the importance of excellent photos when trying to sell a house! Having stunning photos of the house for sale will make it stand out from the crowd and reach those buyers!

Helene and Matt tied the knot in front of the beautiful lake at Burswood, in front of the Burswood Resort Casino. In the centre of the lake is a beautiful swan fountain which provided a beautiful backdrop for their wedding photography. The weather was great with the sun shining brightly. It was a beautiful day filled with love and happiness. Their wedding turned out fantastic and I’m very excited for them! Here are some of my favourite photographs from this special day…Enjoy!

I’ve had both photographers and brides ask me why I give my clients the digital negatives in my Wedding Packages, so I decided to write a blog post about it!
Well, back in the day when photographers and studios were using film, their main source of income was to sell the prints. The main reason for this was film was expensive, so they had to retain the negatives for future print purchases. Pointing to what studios did in the past has little relevance given the current state of technology. We now use digital cameras and are able to take so many photos without the excessive costs of using film! What this means is we are now not restricted by how many images we take, and are able to concentrate on delivering higher quality photos. This is also why I don’t put a number on the quantity of photos I deliver – unlimited images. Remember quality over quantity!
Anyway, my clients will get ALL their images in high resolution, colour corrected and ready to print. You have the printing rights to print for personal usage. Doing it this way you don’t have to worry about budgeting in the cost of digital negatives and how many prints you can afford etc. At Jason Soon Photography, what you will receive in your wedding photography package is a beautiful hand crafted custom made wedding album PLUS all digital negatives for you to keep. I would never hold images for ransom! =) Please contact me for my current packages available.
Hopefully this post will give you an insight into how I work and why I run my business the way I do…thanks for reading!
